EU blacklist: protection against unsafe airlines in European airspace
The European Commission drew up the first EU list of airlines that cannot fly in the European Union on 23 March 2006. This blacklist of unsafe airlines is published on the European Commission’s website. The list is put together based on contributions from the member states and after a thorough check in collaboration with national experts.
The blacklist includes airlines that are completely excluded from European airspace or that are subject to operating limitations.
